I was thinking about you the other day, and that I haven’t keep in touch as much as I’d planned to.
Anyways, no news is good news. Rook is doing fine! He is turining out to be one of the best dogs I’ve ever owned, and I’ve had some really good ones too!
Your initial description was correct, he craves affection! Which is fine, because I like that in a dog. I is very nice to visitors to my home too. And when I walk him, we walk by several houses that have dogs in the yard, he ignores them practically, and listens to me when I tell him to walk on…
He hasn’t caught any squirrels yet, but he loves to run around the yard and bark at the ones in the trees, which by the way is the ONLY time he barks!
Thanks again for rescuing Rook, and allowing me to “adopt” him. He’s a good companion… Next week I take him to the vet (Dr. Cast) PB, for his annual check up, except for the shedding, he’s in good health, so I expect no problems.
I hope all is well with you and your rescue cause.
I’ll try to keep in touch more often. My only regret is that I didn’t discover how great GS dogs are earlier in my life!
Take care. Best of luck.
